September 19, 2023: Serie A club Empoli have dismissed manager Paolo Zanetti following a humiliating 7-0 defeat at AS Roma on Sunday. The result leaves Empoli rooted to the bottom of the table with zero points from their opening four matches.

Zanetti's departure comes as no surprise given Empoli's dismal start to the season. The team has conceded an astonishing 13 goals in just four matches, prompting the club's hierarchy to act decisively.
